5-Product Face

A QUICK MAKEUP ROUTINE.jpg

We never seem to leave ourselves enough time to do our makeup before we walk out the door in the morning.  We want to introduce you to a quick and easy morning routine that uses only 5 products, each taking less than a minute to apply!

Lips: Cecilia Wong Lip Healer

Moisturized and plumped lips are easy to achieve with Cecilia Wong’s lip healer balm.  The extremely silky-smooth texture is a luxurious experience in itself.  One swipe is all you need with this one!  Having smooth and plumped lips will give you that little extra oomph to help you feel refreshed and flirty.

Face: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

This tinted moisturizer will be sure to replace your current foundation! This product is light to medium coverage to perfectly even out skin tone and get rid of any redness and dark spots. The super light formula does not look caked on and keeps your skin smooth, hydrated, and dewy, even in the summer heat.

Brows: Anastasia Brow Wiz

You have definitely heard of this amazing brow pencil before! This pencil is so smooth in texture that it barely takes any pressure at all to apply the product. A light application is especially important when filling in eyebrows.  This brow pencil is all you need to achieve perfect, natural brows that do not look harsh.

Blush: Milani in Luminoso

This blush is the most gorgeous pink/peach color combo that compliments all skin tones.  The color adds a very natural, healthy looking glow to the cheeks without making it obvious that you’ve applied blush.

Mascara: Maybelline Lash Stiletto

Long lashes are everything! This mascara adds just the right amount of length to your lashes to help open them up and look more awake.  Of course, you could always skip this step and stop into Evolution Lash Studio for a set of natural eyelash extensions, saving you the hassle of applying mascara all together!

A quide to unMASKing beauty

Have you gotten into the face mask hype? Are you looking to start using one, but not sure which one will work best for you? There are so many options that it may be hard to choose the right one for your skin type, so we’ve narrowed it down!  With specific skin concerns in mind, Evelyn chose these at-home face masks that you will be sure to love! Plus, you only have to do them once a week!

Oily Skin Cecilia Wong: Blemish Peel Mask

This mask is perfect for getting rid of blackheads and blemishes. Only completely natural ingredients are used, such as stimulating herbs that speed up the skin’s micro circulatory system.  The ingredients help to fade acne scars, oxygenate, unclog, and deep cleanse within skin’s dermal layers.  There are numerous ways to use this product, all equally as effective.

For overall skin improvement, a regular use of this mask will create brighter skin, heal blemishes and lighten dark spots. A quick 3-minute apply-and-rinse is all you need! It works great as an overnight spot treatment as well, to specifically heal that stubborn blemish and lighten dark spots. The best part is, you see results right after the first use!

Dry Skin Kiehl’s: Ultra Hydrating Mask

Waking up feeling hydrated has never been so easy. Kiehl’s Hydrating Mask, Ev’s holy grail product when her skin needs a blast of moisture, is one of our top picks for dry skin! It boosts skin’s ability to absorb and hold moisture for long-lasting hydration, and gives your skin a healthy plump. We recommend using this product overnight, as this produces the quickest and best results. You’ll come to find that this product will provide tons of moisture even with a small amount. The affordable price point is also a huge plus!

Anti-aging GlamGlow: Gravity Mud Firming Treatment

Smooth skin lovers, this is the product for you. This mud-based mask will help correct uneven skin tones, target fine lines and wrinkles, and restore skin elasticity. After only one use, your skin will feel tightened as it slowly eliminates the look of pores. Not to mention its’ beautiful chrome color that resembles liquefied pearls… you are sure to feel like you’re bathing in luxury. We truly believe this mask lives up to its’ well-deserved hype!

Sensitive skin SkinCeuticals: Phyto Corrective Masque

This mask comforts skin sensitivity, and gives a natural radiance that reduces the look of redness and eliminates discomfort. It will give you a refreshing, cooling feeling on contact. The amount of ways to use this product is impressive. You can leave this mask on for 10-15 minutes and rinse, use it as a refresher for an irritated area, or you can use it as an overnight treatment. This mask is extremely versatile, being able to soothe irritated skin caused by a variety of reasons. This mask will be your favorite fix if your skin needs calming.

We are currently loving all of these products and could not wait to share them with you! Your skin reflects your overall health, so the best thing to remember is to eat a healthy diet and avoid junk food, do not smoke, exercise regularly, and drink plenty of water for these masks to continue working to the best of their ability. Everybody’s skin is different, so of course, results may vary. Let us know if these masks worked for you, and which one was your favorite in the comments!

6 Foods for Glowing Skin

For eats that let you look as good as you feel, here is the ultimate healthy menu.

I love the idea that what you put in your body can not only fuel your energy and support overall wellness, but also show up in a radiant complexion and flawless skin.

Omega 3. Wild Salmon is one of the best food sources for omega-3 fatty acids and protein. This fish is also known for its dialed-up levels of vitamin D and selenium. Sardines, oysters and mackerel also supply this beauty food. Not a fish lover? One 200-calorie serving of walnuts has 2776 mg of omega-3 essential fatty acids and is a great source of protein and copper, a mineral that supports collagen production.

Coconut oil. Slather it on the skin or suck down a spoonful and glow! Blend up a cucumber in your green smoothie or blend it with a little water or aloe (it didn’t make the list but this is way up there!) and use the fresh cool mask as a pick me up.

Ginseng. This plant extract provides essential nutrients and has antioxidant properties. Use it as an oil mask for a natural toner, or add it to your morning tea.

Turmeric. Add a few shakes to lemon water, add it to protein rub or blend it in a smoothie. Mix turmeric with equal parts honey and yogurt and use as a DIY facemask. This mask moisturizes and exfoliates skin and will leave your face feeling fresh and clean.

Spinach. This leafy green contains a slew of nutrients that support skin health. Sip a green juice while on-the-go.

Lemon. Rich in Vitamin C, this citrus fruit will help your body purge excess water weight and balance the sodium and potassium levels in your cells. Add a slice of lemon to a mug of warm water in the morning to support healthy digestion or squeeze onto your salad when dining out.
